Main Features and Specification of ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101
ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101 is a combination of touch bar tablet and a docking station. It can be combined to use as a netbook or use separately as a tablet.
It has a unique, stylish and slim design with 271x176x12.9mm only and weighs only 680grams.The textured pattern of the tablet offers a better tactile sensation and makes it comfortable to hold and won’t slip off easily.
IPS Panel is the touch bar tablet. It is made from Corning® Gorilla® Glass which is durable and scratch resistant glass with ultra-wide 178° viewing angle. The panel display, with 10.1' LED Backlight WXGA (1280x800) Screen, produces a crispier and accurate color range up to 50% and has a 10 finger multi-touch support.
The Panel consists of HDMI 1.3a and mini HD port which is able to deliver an enhanced multimedia experience by connect to HDTV. The transformer have a rear and front-facing camera which enable user to take photo and record HD video conveniently and can playback in stunning speed of 1080p. The rear camera is 5 Megapixels (2592x1944 pixels ) with LED Flash , Geo-Tagging and auto focus. While, the front-facing camera is 1.2 Megapixels (1280x1024 pixels).
The docking station has a full QWERTY keyboard with unique Android Function keys, turning the tablet Transformer into a full-fledged notebook.The docking station consists of two USB ports, a built-in SD and micro SD Card reader for file sharing and storage expandability,3.5mm audio jack, 254mm chicket KB which is the same as 10 Eee Pc,40 pin connector port which can connect to adapter for charging battery and can connect to PC for data sync and a docking latch to lock the IPS panel. The docking station also extends the transformer's 9.5 hours of battery life up to 16 hours which enables users to use it for whole day long.
Built-in SRS Sound technology provides a dynamic 3D stereo audio experience, with maximum bass response and a wide sound field from the discrete speakers housed within the Transformer. It can support with MP3, WMA, MPEG4, H.263, H.264 format.
The Internal memory of Transformer is 16GB / 32GB storage and one year of unlimited storage space of ASUS WebStorage which provides worry-free cloud computing. Making the Transformer very attractive for professional use ,Transformer has preloaded the Polaris® Office® 3.0, a professional mobile office Solution which enables users to edit various types of office documents including:
The Transformer is powered by the NVIDIA® Tegra™ 2 dual-core processor which enable the Transformer to browse the web in high speed , provide fast response time and perform better in multitasking.
The Operating system of Transformer is using Google's Android 3.0 Honeycomb O.S which is specially designed for tablet. It enables users a full-web experience for on-the-go browsing, communicating and casual computing. And it is supporting Adobe® Flash® 10.2 and Android Market,
ASUS Launcher allows users to launch software, manage content and accesses online service more easily and connect devices with a few simple taps.ASUS Sync is to allow users to synchronize contact list and calendar between the Eee Pad and PC.
While ASUS' Waveshare Interface hosts a variety of unique applications such as:
- MyNet : Streams easily digital media wirelessly within home network services
- MyLibrary : Download books, magazines and newspapers in one easy step.
- MyCloud : Provides access to digital content such as music, videos and files from the cloud anywhere : Remotely access and control any PC or Mac System
The Transformer consists of Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, Proximity sensor for auto turn-off, G-Sensor, GPS, E-compass, Light Sensor and Gyroscope. The Browser of Transformer is HTML while the connectivity support WLAN 802.11 b/g/n@2.4GHz and Bluetooth V2.1+EDR.
Although the Eee Pad Transformer TF101 is new but it has already received two awards, which is the editor's award of United state and United kingdom.
The Transformer is cost about RM1799 with one year global warranty.
