Introduction and Background of ASUS Company

 History 

I

N the year of 1989, April 2, ASUS has been discovered by TG Tung, Ted Hsu, MT Liao and Wayne Hsieh. They are the former engineers of Acer. ASUS was originated from the last four letters of the word “Pegasus”. It is the winged horse in Greek Mythology and it represents the inspiration of art and learning. The founders had decided to use “ASUS” because it has a higher position in alphabetical listing therefore it was better than Pegasus from logistical view. ASUS had pursued the strength, creative spirit and purity symbolized by this regal and agile mythical creature, target for improvement in quality and innovation with each product it introduces to the market ASUS only succeeded in the year of 2001 although it has been discovered in the year of 1989.

Mark in History: ASUS notebooks

In outer Space	ASUS Notebooks Experience Zero Defects throughout a 600-day Space Mission.	R&K (supplier of computers and electronics for aeronautic missions to outer space) had chosen 2 ASUS notebooks to provide dependable computing for astronauts on MIR Space Station. Both notebooks able to operate normally through the thermal flow which is completely different with the earth.  ASUS notebook can be turn on and left on all day without a problem (Only notebooks with the best heat dissipation solutions can survive continuous operation.)
In the air	ASUS Notebooks helps NRMA Careflight Helicopter Rescue Unit Save Life.
